Q. I want to add a steam unit to our master bathroom shower stall . Outside of having the steam unit installed , are there any other issues that we need to think about when adding a steam shower to a bathroom? A. The main issue is dealing with the extra steam. You’ll be generating a lot of steam that needs be contained, enjoyed and then removed from the bathroom. Also, permits need to be pulled and all local codes followed. Basically, here are a few things to consider: First, look into installing a special steam enclosure shower door in place of your current shower door or curtain.
